The Finance team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Controllership who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment and is passionate about ensuring financial integrity, strong governance, and high-quality financial reporting.In this role, you will lead all controllership activities, including accounting policy, financial reporting, and operational accounting oversight. You will partner closely with FP&A, Treasury, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate financial results, strong controls, and alignment with accounting standards.As a Finance leader, you will bring deep technical accounting expertise and a proven ability to manage complex accounting environments, including non-standard transactions and evolving business structures.Key ResponsibilitiesLead operational controllership across the organization, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial resultsProvide accounting guidance and technical interpretation of IFRS, including complex and non-standard transactionsLead financial results review, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesOversee corporate accounting activities, including preparation of standalone financial statements for statutory and regulatory reportingSupport accounting evaluation of strategic initiatives, including lease assessments and capital vs. operating treatmentLead audit coordination and support external and internal audit requirementsStrengthen financial controls, governance frameworks, and accounting processesBuild and lead a high-performing controllership team, including managers and accounting professionalsCritical QualificationsCPA designation requiredDeep expertise in technical accounting (IFRS), with strong experience in complex and judgmental areas7+ years of progressive experience in controllership, financial reporting, or audit within large, complex organizationsProven ability to assess and conclude on complex accounting matters, including leases (IFRS 16) and capital vs. operating classificationsStrong knowledge of statutory and regulatory reporting requirementsExperience managing audits and working with external auditorsStrong leadership and team development experienceExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsHigh attention to detail with strong focus on governance and control environmentAdequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
