*1. Overview* The HVAC Service Technician / Install & Service Technician will assist with installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in *residential and commercial settings*. This role includes both service and installation work as well as participation in an on-call rotation. *2. Responsibilities & Duties* * Perform HVAC system installations (residential and commercial) * Oversee and assist with equipment installations on job sites * Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC/R equipment * Perform warranty service work as required * Apply local HVAC codes in a practical manner on each job * Provide technical support in the field * Field customer questions and provide professional recommendations * Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to support project requirements and customer needs * Layout, design, and install low-voltage wiring * Participate in after-hours / on-call service rotation as required * Relay issues, findings, and associated costs to clients and supervisors * Order and pick up required parts and materials * Perform preventative maintenance, including system cleaning and filter replacements * Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently * Keep accurate daily logs and records of work completed * Maintain and care for service vehicle/truck * Ensure compliance with appliance standards, building codes, and the Health & Safety Act * Perform other related duties as required *3. Required Knowledge & Awareness of Following Tasks* * Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic aptitude * Strong safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices * Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting abilities * Strong customer service and communication skills * Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills * Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks * Proficient in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and work plans *4. Work Conditions* * Combination of office work (computer/administrative tasks) and field work * Field work in residential and commercial environments * Exposure to varying weather conditions and job site environments * May be required to work outside of regular business hours to complete duties, including participation in an on-call rotation *5. Specific Skills Required* * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Ability to complete repetitive tasks when required * Ability to work independently and within a team environment * Physically fit; able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks * Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities *6. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations* * 3- 5 years of experience in residential HVAC installation and service preferred. * Commercial HVAC experience considered an asset * Valid driver?s license required * Relevant *313D* *considered an asset.* *7.
