This is a fully remote position, open to candidates based in Canada.Pay: $30?$100/hrJob Type: Contractor (~15 hrs a week)Location: RemoteSchedule: Flexible, you pick the hours and days (including weekends if desired)the company is selecting Cyber Security Engineers to contribute technical expertise to a dynamic customer project. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required ? your domain knowledge is what matters.What we're looking for:<ol><li>Analyze, debug, and resolve software bugs and vulnerabilities across diverse codebases.</li><li>Implement new features and enhance existing functionality in projects using Python3, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript.</li><li>Refactor legacy code to improve maintainability, security, and performance.</li><li>Perform codebase audits, penetration testing, and other security assessments to identify and mitigate risks.</li><li>Contribute to backend development and optimize application performance for scalability and security.</li><li>Document findings, suggest improvements, and provide real-world insights to improve AI training datasets.</li></ol>Preferred Qualifications:<ol><li>Expertise in one or more languages: Python3, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript.</li><li>Proven experience in debugging, bug fixing, and backend development for complex systems.</li><li>Strong background in cybersecurity practices, including pentesting, security audit, and vulnerability assessment.</li><li>Proficiency in algorithms, codebase refactoring, and optimizing software for performance and security.</li><li>Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly and concisely.</li><li>Familiarity with secure software development lifecycles and modern threat landscapes.</li><li>Experience contributing to AI-related or data-driven projects is a plus, but not required.</li></ol>Process:<ol><li>Apply to the role, filling out the screening questions</li><li>Complete AI Interview (approx. 30 minutes)</li><li>Technical Assessment (Tentative)</li><li>Hiring Manager review</li></ol>Compensation StructureCompensation is output-based; experts are paid per task that meets the project specifications. The time required to complete work may vary depending on the expert?s experience and workflow. Minimum submission requirements apply.
