*Position Overview* The Estimator turns qualified customer opportunities into accurate, profitable, and clearly documented estimates for Rimrock?s construction, design-build, maintenance, irrigation, and related work. You own the estimating process from complete scope intake through pricing, internal review, proposal preparation, and handoff support. Your work protects margin, helps customers understand what they are buying, and gives operations the information needed to deliver the work successfully. *3. Responsive service means meeting agreed timelines. Team care means giving operations a clear and complete package instead of passing along uncertainty. *4. Success Profile and Targets* * *Estimate accuracy:* Estimates include the full expected scope, realistic labor hours, current material costs, equipment, subcontractors, overhead recovery, and approved margin. * *Estimate turnaround:* _Most standard estimates are completed within 2 to 3 business days after receiving complete scope information._ * *Margin protection:* Estimates are priced within approved company standards, with exceptions identified before submission. * *Proposal clarity:* Customers can understand inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, timing, and next steps. * *Handoff quality:* Awarded work is transferred with complete information and minimal avoidable surprises for operations. *5. Key Responsibilities Scope Review and Opportunity Intake* * *Review qualified opportunities and confirm that the available information is sufficient to estimate the work.* * Great looks like: You quickly identify missing drawings, measurements, specifications, site information, client decisions, or pricing inputs before building an estimate. * *Review project fit, timing, access, complexity, and delivery risk before committing estimating time.* Great looks like: Poor-fit or incomplete opportunities are flagged early, and good opportunities move forward without unnecessary delay. * *Organize drawings, specifications, site notes, photos, addenda, client requirements, and other estimating information.* Great looks like: Another person can open the opportunity and understand the scope without searching through disconnected emails or files.*Estimating and Pricing* * *Build accurate estimates for construction, design-build, maintenance, irrigation, enhancements, and related work using approved LMN templates and pricing standards.* * Great looks like: Estimates include the work required to deliver the promised result, not just the most visible materials or tasks. * *Calculate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor, overhead, and margin requirements.* Great looks like: The estimate reflects the full cost of doing the work and does not rely on guesswork or outdated pricing. * *Use current cost information, production assumptions, templates, and assemblies, and flag outdated inputs.* Great looks like: Recurring work becomes faster and more consistent because pricing libraries and templates improve over time.Great looks like: Customers and operations are not surprised later by items that were visible during estimating.*Proposal Preparation and Review* * *Identify scope gaps, allowances, exclusions, assumptions, dependencies, and client decisions that could affect price or delivery.* * *Prepare clear proposals in LMN that explain scope, value, inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, timing, and next steps.* * Great looks like: A customer understands what Rimrock is offering, and operations understands what Rimrock is promising. * *Complete an internal review before submitting estimates that involve unusu- Location Calgary, AB
