The Arctic Marine Response Station (AMRS) is a primary SAR asset, located in Rankin Inlet, NU. Crews operate on a rotating schedule of up to 14 consecutive days of work followed by up to 14 days of rest. We equip our AMRS Crewmembers and Coxswains with essential training and skills to help them succeed in keeping mariners safe. Other duties of this position include:• Maintain search and rescue standby on a 24/7 basis to respond to persons and boaters indistress.• Operate fast rescue craft in response to maritime emergencies.• Participate in paid training with government and other response organizations.• Participate in community education and engagement sessions to increase awareness of SARservices.Check out these videos showing an AMRS crew in action:• https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxKL1jnD6OQ• http://www.cbc.ca/player/play/1242537539773/- Location Rankin Inlet, NU
