Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Dusty. Work setting: Stone processing plant and foundry. Processing plant. Troubleshooting. Transformer manufacturer. Tasks: Estimate costs and materials. Operate CADD and other computer software systems. Prepare production and other reports. Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions. Train or arrange for training. Co-ordinate and schedule activities. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Set up machines and equipment. Supervise workers and projects. Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Set up and adjust production machineries/tools. Maintain, install and troubleshoot a wide variety of broadcast hardware and software. Program CNC machine tools. Co-ordinate and supervise production crew such as machine and process operators, tenders, assistants and helpers. Supervision: 11-15 people. Staff in various areas of responsibility. Working groups. Apprentices. Labourers. Machine operators. Machinists and machining and tooling inspectors. Tool and die makers. Welders. Computer and technology knowledge: AutoCAD.
