<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>Reporting to the General Manager, the Service Writer has responsibilities with both Customer relationships, and the administration of the business. This role has specific responsibilities as follows:</p><p> </p><ul><li><b><strong>Safety</strong></b></li><li><ul><li>Role model a 'safety first' attitude amongst the team</li></ul></li><li><b><strong>Tasks:</strong></b></li><li><ul><li><b><strong>General:</strong></b></li><li><ul><li>Open / close front office - locks, lights and signs</li><li>Use current tools to communicate with internal staff</li><li>Cleanliness of front office</li></ul></li><li><b><strong>Customer Communication:</strong></b></li><li><ul><li>First to answer the phone / greet walk-in customers</li><li>Monitor shop calendar and be aware of 'incoming' customers</li><li>Check customer inquiries on emails, SM, Payment boxes , and other communication tools</li></ul></li><li><b><strong>Work Orders and Invoicing:</strong></b></li><li><ul><li>Open work orders and, when necessary, ensure customer specific criteria are incorporated in the work order</li><li>Request approval for work from Fleet clients</li><li>Authorize work orders in SM</li><li>Request customer PO number, where applicable</li><li>Conduct a final review of completed work orders prior to sending the completed invoice to customers</li><li>Send invoices to clients for payments</li><li>Receive client payments</li><li>Internally flag work orders that require immediate attention / have gone stagnant</li></ul></li><li><b><strong>Receivables / Payables:</strong></b></li><li><ul><li>Watch for and advise the GM on overdue accounts receivables</li><li>Review payables and input necessary data for electronic payments to our suppliers Handle customer complaints as required</li></ul></li></ul></li></ul><p> </p><ul><li>Other duties which may be required from time to time which may or may not fall within the overall scope of this role</li></ul></div></div>- Location Nepean, ONK2E 6T7
