DELIVERY TRUCK LABOURERRodney Enterprises LimitedPosition SummaryRodney Enterprises Limited is seeking a reliable and hardworking Delivery Truck Labourer to assist with the safe transportation and delivery of commercial millwork and Division 10 specialty products to job sites throughout the region. The successful candidate will work closely with drivers, project managers, shop staff, installers, and site personnel to ensure products are properly loaded, protected, transported, and unloaded without damage. Previous truck driving or commercial delivery experience is considered an asset and may provide opportunities for additional responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with loading commercial millwork, cabinets, casework, doors, hardware, washroom accessories, toilet partitions, lockers, and other Division 10 specialty products.Ensure all products are properly secured, protected, and organized before transportation.Help unload and safely move products into designated areas at various commercial construction sites.Inspect products during loading and unloading and report any damage, shortages, or concerns immediately.Confirm delivered materials match delivery paperwork, packing lists, and project requirements.Communicate professionally with project managers, site supervisors, installers, customers, and other managers.Follow delivery schedules and instructions provided by project managers and supervisors.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe truck and delivery area.Assist with general shop, warehouse, or labour duties when deliveries are not scheduled.Follow all company safety procedures and job-site requirements.Use proper lifting techniques and material-handling equipment to prevent injury and product damage.Represent the company professionally while on customer and construction sites.QualificationsPrevious experience in construction, warehousing, delivery, moving, millwork, or material handling is preferred.Experience driving delivery trucks or commercial vehicles is considered a strong asset.A valid driver's licence with a clean driving recordAbility to safely lift and carry heavy or awkward materials.Comfortable working in active commercial construction environments.Strong attention to detail and commitment to protecting finished products.Dependable, punctual, and able to follow delivery schedules.Able to communicate clearly with project managers, supervisors, coworkers, and customers.Willingness to work as part of a team and assist with duties outside regular deliveries when required.Ability to travel to various job sites and occasionally work extended hours based on delivery requirements.Physical RequirementsRegular lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of heavy materials.Frequent bending, reaching, walking, and standing.Ability to safely navigate construction sites, loading areas, stairs, and uneven surfaces.Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.Preferred Bonus SkillsCommercial truck or cube van driving experience.Experience securing loads using straps, blankets, padding, and other protective materials.Familiarity with commercial millwork or Division 10 specialties.Forklift, pallet jack, or material-handling equipment experience.Construction safety training, WHMIS, or First Aid certification.- Location Dartmouth, NS
