Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit. Discuss work with supervisor. Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions. Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems. Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications. Perform scheduled maintenance service. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Hand-eye co-ordination. Attention to detail. Manual dexterity. Standing for extended periods. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Dependability. Excellent oral communication. Judgement. Reliability. Team player. Punctuality.
