*Job Overview* We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team in our new Barrie location for Fig & Feta Greek Eatery & Market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, along with experience in restaurant management and team leadership. As a Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring food safety standards are met, and managing kitchen operations effectively. This role requires a commitment to excellence in the food industry and a dedication to providing exceptional hospitality. *Responsibilities* * Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation * Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols * Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations * Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area * Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary *Experience* * Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the food service industry * Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management * Extensive knowledge of cooking techniques, food handling, and safety standards * Background in restaurant management with an understanding of operational procedures * Excellent leadership abilities to motivate and inspire kitchen staff * Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is preferred * A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes Join our team and bring your culinary expertise to create memorable dining experiences!
