Canada Summer Jobs Position* *Position Title*: General Ministry Assistant *Employment Term*: Canada Summer Jobs Seasonal Position *Hours*: 35 hours/ week *Salary:* $19.00/hour *Location:* Westside King?s Church, Calgary Alberta The General Ministry Assistant supports the overall ministry and operations of the church during the summer season. This role provides hands-on help across several departments?Kids and Youth, Operations, Sunday Services, Pastoral Support, and Events. The ideal candidate is flexible, organized, enjoys working with people, and is willing to serve wherever needed to help create warm, welcoming, and effective ministry environments. _Kids & Youth Ministry Support_ * Support Sunday morning Kids and Youth programs through set-up, classroom assistance, and activity leadership. * Assist with curriculum, craft, and resource preparation. * Help prepare for and lead aspects of Summer Camp programming. * Contribute to Wednesday youth events, summer gatherings, and fall ministry setup. _Operations & Administrative Support_ * Assist with day-to-day operations tasks such as photocopying, organizing materials, tracking supplies, and preparing documents. * Help maintain storage spaces, inventories, and ministry resources. * Support office communication, scheduling, and organizational tasks under staff direction. _Sunday Services Support_ * Assist the Sunday services team with set-up, tear-down, hospitality, and other service-related tasks. * Provide support to the lead pastor as needed, including preparation assistance and service logistics. _Events & Special Projects_ * Help with planning, preparing, and running church-wide events (set-up, hosting, cleaning, hospitality). * Assist with décor, signage, environment creation, and event logistics. * Participate in seasonal preparations, including summer events and fall ministry launch projects. _Other Responsibilities_ * Provide general support to the operations department. * Assist the lead pastor and Sunday services team, help with events, and take on other ministry tasks as needed. * Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and training opportunities. * Maintain a positive, welcoming presence in all ministry spaces. _Qualifications_ * Must meet Canada Summer Jobs eligibility criteria. * Enjoys working with children, youth, families, and volunteers. * Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. * Organized, dependable, and able to follow through on tasks. * Teachable, flexible, and willing to assist in multiple ministry areas. * Previous church or volunteer experience is an asset but not required. _Work Environment_ This role includes both active, hands-on work (room set-up, moving supplies, event support) and desk-based administrative tasks. Some evening or weekend hours may be required depending on programming and events. Pay: $19.00 per hour Work Location: In person
