Join our leadership team as we prepare to launch the Hampton Inn by Hilton Calgary Downtown! We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented *Housekeeping Supervisor* to oversee the housekeeping operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are consistently achieved.
*Key Responsibilities*
As the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will report directly to the Executive Housekeeper and lead the housekeeping team to maintain exceptional cleanliness and service standards across all areas of the hotel. Your responsibilities include:
*Leadership and Operations*
· Oversee the daily operations of the Housekeeping department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.
· Inspire and motivate a team to achieve mutual goals.
· Plan and communicate daily and weekly schedules for the Housekeeping Team, ensuring alignment with the business needs.
· Coordinate and execute hotel-wide deep cleaning routines in collaboration with the Maintenance department.
· Conduct quality inspections of guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with brand standards.
*Guest Satisfaction*
· Review guest scores daily and implement improvement plans as required.
· Address guest feedback and resolve housekeeping-related concerns promptly to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
*Team Development*
· Lead the recruitment, hiring, and on boarding process for new team members.
· Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities.
*Safety and Compliance*
· Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols.
· Maintain safe working conditions and report maintenance issues for immediate resolution.
· Administer payroll, providing accurate cost analysis as needed.
*Inventory and Supplies*
· Manage supplies inventories and place monthly orders to ensure seamless operations.
· Ensure work tools and products are available in sufficient quantities and used effectively.
*Additional Responsibilities*
· Administer quality assurance programs, including bi-annual audits and brand standards reviews.
· Support other operational areas during peak periods or emergencies to maintain guest satisfaction.
· Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper and leadership team.
*Qualifications & Requirements*
*Education & Experience*
· Minimum 1 year of Housekeeping supervisory role.
· Previous experience in housekeeping as a room attendant is required.
*Skills & Attributes*
* Proven experience in hotel or hospitality environments is preferred.
* Knowledge of hotel cleaning practices and custodial procedures is essential.
* Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to effectively manage a team.
* Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
* Familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies, including proper usage and safety protocols.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing business demands and work schedules, including evenings and weekends.
* Familiarity with PEP software is an advantage.
