The Opportunity We are currently seeking a Business Solutions Co-Op Student to join our IT Base Metals- Business Solutions team in Sudbury . This is a fixed term hybrid position, working a Monday- Friday Schedule. This is a 4 month-fixed term co-op position starting in September 2025. As a Business Solutions Co-Op Student you will have the opportunity to work with Vale team members to define KPIs and build reports that provide our leadership with clear insights into project status, performance, deliverables, and adherence to financials and schedules. We also have the opportunity to evaluate processes and recommend streamline possibilities. Using RPA to automate parts of our process is also an option. Your experience and skills will help build these reports and the ability to analyze data to provide insights and opportunities for improving project outcomes and find ways to use RPA to simplify and streamline our processes in a co-op placement.Additionally, in this position you will: Completing required onboarding to access company property.Participating in team meetings with project managers and leaders.Documenting process workflows as requiredProviding recommendations on process improvement opportunities and automation opportunitiesAutomating approved automation opportunitiesAnalyzing project data for trends in delivery timelines, financial adherence, project financial burn-rates, schedule adherence, risks, and issues.Attending the office at least twice a week (Sudbury).Providing weekly status reports indicating progress, risks and blockersAbout You Education:Currently enrolled in IT Computer Science or similar programSkills:Data Visualization: Experience with Power BI, including creating and managing dashboards, reports, and data models.DAX (Data Analysis Expressions): Proficiency in using DAX to create custom calculations and measures within Power BI.Data Analysis: Ability to perform data cleaning, transformation, and analysis using tools like Excel, Pandas (Python), or similar.Statistical Analysis: Knowledge of fundamental statistical concepts and techniques for data analysis.RPA implementation: Proficiency in Power Automate and strong understanding of process automation and workflow design.
