Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Recreational or cultural centre. Tasks: Instruct groups and individuals in arts and crafts. Assist with coordination of recreational, sport and fitness events . Lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs. Plan and carry out recreational, fitness and sports activities. Understand principles of group dynamics. Leading/instructing groups. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Assemble supplies, sports and game equipment. Monitor recreational, sports or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required. Supervision: More than 20 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Child welfare check. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available. Screening questions: Are you available for shift or on-call work?. Are you currently a student?. Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Experience: Experience an asset. Other benefits: Free parking available.- LocationThunder Bay, ON
