*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation, and maintaining food safety standards. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
*Duties*
* Assist in the management of kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure optimal performance.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
* Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
* Prepare and present high-quality dishes that meet restaurant standards.
* Assist in scheduling staff shifts and managing labor costs effectively.
* Maintain communication with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
*Experience*
* Proven experience in a restaurant kitchen, preferably in a supervisory role.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Experience in food preparation techniques, menu planning, and kitchen management.
* Familiarity with bartending is a plus but not required.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
