Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs. Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present clients . Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads. Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bids forms. Utilize quantity take-off procedures. Advise on tendering procedures. Analyze tenders and recommend awards. Monitor and adjust contract expenditures. Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates. Computer and technology knowledge: Estimating packages. Take-off packages. Spreadsheet. MS Word. Type of experience: Commercial and/or industrial construction. Industrial construction. Institutional construction. Residential construction. Contractors. Project size estimating experience: 0 - $100,000. $1,500,001 - $4,000,000. $100,001 - $500,000. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Willing to travel.
