*Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in diagnosing and repairing various types of heavy machinery, including industrial equipment, Mining machinery. This role requires a commitment to safety and quality, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
*Duties*
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including but not limited to Caterpillar machinery and underground mining machinery.
* Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals.
* Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before they become serious issues.
* Repair or replace defective parts
* Test repaired equipment for proper performance
* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety regulations.
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience in heavy equipment repair or a related field.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
* Familiarity with mining and construction and industrial equipment is preferred.
* Experience working with mining machinery is a plus.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents.
* Welding skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
* A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to heavy equipment mechanics are a plus.
