Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: On-site customer service. Various locations. Tasks: Conduct voltage, resistance and other tests using electrical test equipment. Prepare written estimates of repair costs. Plan service routes. Refer to schematic drawings or product manuals to repair parts. Diagnose faults, using testing devices. Repair electrical appliances and components. Replace faulty components. Advise customers on work performed and condition of equipment. Receive payments from customers. Estimate costs and materials. Ensure smooth operation of equipment. Complete detailed inspection documentation. Perform minor repairs on appliances. Equipment and machinery experience: Large household appliances. Area of specialization: Household appliances. Security and safety: Bondable. Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Eligible for professional liability insurance. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Vehicle supplied by employer. Willing to travel. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads.
