Job details
Education: Bachelor's degree. Tasks: Design and develop power equipment and systems. Install equipment. Interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation. Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements. Service equipment. Supervise the building and testing of prototypes. Test power equipment and systems . Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports. Write specifications. Carry out applied research in fields of electrical and electronic engineering and physics. Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems. Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems. Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support. Promote sales to existing clients. Assess client's needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services. Train customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
