Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Legal studies, general. Legal assistant/paralegal. or equivalent experience. Asset languages: Hindi. Panjabi; Punjabi. Tasks: Coordinate the flow of information. Open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other material. Maintain filing system. Determine and establish office procedures and routines. Prepare and key in correspondence and legal documents. Review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Word. MS Excel. Adobe Acrobat Reader. Area of work experience: Immigration. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Attention to detail. Personal suitability: Client focus. Efficient interpersonal skills. Organized. Team player. Ability to multitask. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
