Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. Noisy. Dangerous. Wet/damp. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Disinfect, reconstruct and redevelop older contaminated wells and water pumping systems. Drill, bore and dig for water wells. Instruct apprentices. Put screens and pumps in place to develop the well. Install well screens, casings and other well fixtures. Perform routine maintenance work on water well drilling rigs and equipment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Driver's License (Class 3 or D). First Aid Certificate. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Equipment and machinery experience: Mobile water well drilling rigs. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?. Experience: Will train. Health benefits: Dental plan.
