Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Co-ordinate maintenance activities of trade contractors. Complete and maintain station records, logs and reports. Instruct apprentices. Read electrical schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams. Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunction. Assist during routine systems testing. Assist in locating and isolating system problems. Assist in the development of operation, maintenance and safety procedures. Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment. Investigate problems to fix or make minor repair. Issue work and test permits to electrical and mechanical maintenance personnel. Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance and safety activities. Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and to ensure plant systems are operating normally. Operate automated or computerized control systems.
