Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Urban area. Tasks: Conduct tests and analysis using other physical and chemical separation techniques. Maintain laboratory equipment. Assist in set up and conduction of chemical experiments. Compile records for analytical studies. MS Office. Assist in developing programs of sampling and analysis to maintain quality standards . Assist in development of standards, health and safety measures. Compile records and interpret experimental or analytical results. Develop and conduct programs of sampling and analysis. Prepare solution of gas or liquid, reagents, and sample formulations. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Food Safety Certificate. Area of specialization: Food chemistry. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
