The successful applicant should be highly organized and able to multitask between the two departments.Basic Purpose of Position:The PPB/HR Admin Coordinator will be responsible for providing assistance to both the Payroll, Pension, and Benefits (PPB) as well as Human Resources (HR) departments. Your daily responsibilities will be divided equally between the two departments. The chosen candidate will be tasked with ensuring the accuracy of employee data. As well as providing support to the HR departments in areas such as employee relations, reporting, and engagement.Key Responsibilities:PPB Related: Assist in payroll duties which include but are not limited to: Processing payroll data, status changes, payroll adjustments, and initial new hire input. Utilize exceptional interpersonal skills; to provide guidance to employees regarding payroll, pension, and benefits.Respond to employee inquires; apply knowledge, of specific union groups and their respective collective agreements, as well as company policy and procedure. Issue record of employment (ROE) statements for current pay period.HR Related: Using Business Intelligence reporting tools, run and distribute various reports regarding employee data, employees' absences in relation to short term disability (STD) and attendance wellness. Create and distribute various HR letters including internal leave of absence (LOA) letters, unique employment letters, and lawyer/legal letters.Assist with the position profile review and approval process Assist with updating and amending existing policies. Play an active role in coordinating social and recognition programs at Jazz as well as assisting with the corporate award application process. Assist the Employee Relations Specialist in various activities including administration functions such as managing personnel files, maintaining the general HR Email Inbox, and updating pertinent HR Information on JazzNet (Jazz's Intranet).Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, and the safety of co workers and customers. Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: A post-secondary education degree or diploma in Business Administration, Commerce or Human Resources is preferred. A CPP (Certified Payroll Practitioner) and/or a CPHR (Chartered Professional in Human Resources) designation or equivalent is preferred. 2-3 years of knowledge and experience in payroll, pension, benefits and/or human resources is preferred. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word). Strong attention to detail. Strong time management skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Bilingualism (English and French) is preferred.
