*Position Summary: * The Assistant Restaurants Manager, reporting to the Restaurants Manager, is a key player in ensuring the execution and delivery of the day-to-day operations of the hotel restaurants. This role is continually improving guest satisfaction through interactions in the restaurants and ensuring the execution of all functions are occurring in line with all Marriott standards and guest expectations. *Summary of Responsibilities:* * Maintaining a high degree of visibility and active participation in the day-to-day operation of the restaurant. * Develop relationships with internal and external guests maximizing repeat business potential to the outlets. * Resolving service issues to the satisfaction of involved parties * Build strong relationships with guests and foster loyalty by personally, and through the team, acting as a host. * Coach and mentor colleagues, creating an environment that enables colleagues to achieve job fulfillment while providing superior customer service. * Create a positive overall experience, ensuring that food and beverages are served in a friendly and exceptional service-oriented manner. * Assist in developing and implementing cost saving and profit enhancing measures. * Assist in ensuring par stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory, and ordering supplies. * Provides leadership & coaching for a team to ensure standards are being maintained and exceeded. * Use of programs to operate the outlets, Micros Simphony, Ameego, Avanti, Marriott Global Source. * Working in conjunction with the Executive Chef and the kitchen team to ensure exceptional guest experience, through quality of product. * Daily walk-through to ensure cleanliness and product condition standards are being met. * Ensuring marketing and promotional programs are implemented and kept up to date. * Member of the Health & Safety Committee, working to provide a safe environment for employees and guests. * Ability to lead by example and provide clear directions to associates. * To assist with ensuring the effective execution of the restaurants events that happen in each outlet. * Scheduling the outlets effectively, to ensure labor targets are achieved. * Other duties as assigned. *Duties and Essential Job Functions* *1.* *Maintain a high degree of visibility and active participation in driving and supporting the day-to-day operation of the restaurants, and VLT?s.* · Is physically present at all high (busy) times working the room and leading by example. · Ensures the team understands the correlation between service excellence and guest perception of the business, mentoring all members of the team towards service excellence and the creation of wow factors. · Empowers the team to usepersonality and flair in a suitable manner to elevate the customer?s level of emotional satisfaction with their experience, therefore driving loyalty and revenue. · Actively works to build a high performing, motivated and engaged team. · Ensures the team understands and applies the tenets of revenue management daily. · Monitors the service team performance and how it relates to guest feedback taking appropriate action to recognize positive efforts and improve results. · Brings a creative approach to building revenue. · Provides training, coaching and guidance to the Supervisors, Servers, Bartenders and Hosts by supporting one-on-one meetings with team members. · Ensures and participates in ?High Time? training for the department. *2.* *To employ the available resources to drive the business with specific revenue, cost / expense and productivity targets, operating with effective controls, processes and procedures as identified in the budget and business plan.* · Contributes to the success of the hotel by communicating with other departments and always maintaining a position of a natural leader, even with other departments. · Assists with the generation of new revenue by offering suggestions and ideas for improvements. · Assists wi- LocationCalgary, AB
