Education: Earned doctorate degree. Work setting: Private clinic. Tasks: Perform X-rays and other tests. Diagnose disorders of the spine and other body joints. Adjust position of displaced vertebrae and other articulations, using manipulative therapy. Provide additional treatment such as heat, red light and massage. Advise patients on corrective exercises, lifestyle and nutrition. Maintain accurate records. Develop and implement treatment programs. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board and Provincial Licensing Body Examination. Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. Security and safety: Eligible for professional liability insurance. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Repetitive tasks. Fast-paced environment.
