Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Book appointments. Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences. Shampoo customers' hair. Shave and trim beards and mustaches. Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair. Clean and style wigs and hair pieces. Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair. Suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features and preferences. Perform receptionist duties. Maintain and order supplies. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Hair styling techniques: Blow drying. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Personal suitability: Client focus. Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Flexibility.
