SOCIAL DEVELOPMENTADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT (Administrative Services - Level 3) OPEN COMPETITIONCENTRAL ZONEThe Department of Social Development is seeking individuals for current and future casual full-time opportunities as Administrative Services Officers in the Miramichi. As a member of the Administrative Services team, the successful candidate will be responsible to provide a variety of administrative support services to the general public and all levels of staff within the office. Responsibilities include providing general information, responding to a wide range of routine and complex telephone inquiries and/or walk-in clients, and directing clients and/or the general public to the appropriate employee or resource. Work will also include: filing, photocopying, handling of incoming and outgoing mail, receiving payments, preparation of correspondence, data entry, word processing, and maintaining a supplies inventory. Other duties may be assigned as required. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Work at this level requires education gained through high school or GED, supplemented by post-secondary education typically a one (1) year program plus a minimum of three (3) years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Spoken competence in English AND French is required. Please state your language capability.Applicants must clearly demonstrate the essential qualifications to be given further consideration.
