Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Pharmacy or drugstore. Tasks: Set up and dismantle equipment. Supervise and direct activities of other medical technologists or technicians. Apply and adjust casts, splints and bandages. Clean and maintain equipment. Compound, package and label pharmaceutical products. Help with scheduling and workflow. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Advise patients in the use and care of prostheses and orthoses. Compound oral solutions, ointments and creams. Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products. Advise patients on loss of depth perception. Organize and maintain inventory. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Pharmacy technician Certification. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
