Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Minimize hazards at all stages of the food production process. Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies. Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions. Prepare production and other reports. Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units. Manage kitchen operations. Supervision: 5-10 people. Labourers in food, beverage and tobacco processing. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Safe quality foods (SQF) Certificate. Area of work experience: Quality assurance or control. Type of industry experience: Shipping line. Regulations knowledge: Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) regulations. Knowledge of preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Fast-paced environment. Handling heavy loads.
