Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the kitchen
- Plan and create menus, ensuring variety and quality of food
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and dietary requirements
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring proper food handling and safety procedures are followed
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new dishes and improve existing menu items
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of bartending and experience in a hospitality setting is a plus
Skills:
- Bartending: Proficient in preparing various types of drinks and cocktails
- Kitchen: Familiarity with all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and equipment usage
- Food service: Understanding of proper serving techniques, portion control, and customer service principles
- Food preparation: Ability to prepare ingredients, follow recipes, and execute cooking techniques to create high-quality dishes
- Cook: Skilled in cooking a variety of cuisines and adapting recipes as needed
- Hospitality: Customer-focused mindset with a strong commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience
- Supervising: Experience in managing kitchen staff, delegating tasks, and ensuring efficient workflow
- Food handling: Knowledge of proper food handling procedures to maintain safety and sanitation standards
- Team management: Ability to lead, motivate, and train a team of kitchen staff members
- Restaurant: Familiarity with restaurant operations, including menu planning, cost control, and inventory management
