Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Coach to join our team. As a Coach, you will have the opportunity to educate and inspire individuals in the game of basketball. We are grassroots and our main focus is providing a fun environment where kids can play the game. Our coaches are on the court coaching and refereeing our game, allowing for opportunities to stop the game and teach. This is where we differ from other programs This is a paid position. If you are looking for some extra money on the side and are fantastic working with youth, please apply! Our programs run evenings during the week! Duties: - Develop and implement training programs for individuals or teams - Provide instruction and guidance in the designated area (e.g., swimming techniques) - Assess individual or team performance and provide feedback for improvement - Plan and organize practices, drills, and competitions - Motivate and encourage athletes to reach their full potential - Ensure safety protocols are followed during training sessions - Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to create a supportive environment Skills: - Strong knowledge and expertise in the designated area (e.g., basketball) - Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct and motivate athletes - Ability to adapt coaching techniques to meet the needs of individuals or teams - Patience and understanding to work with athletes of different skill levels - Organizational skills to plan practices, drills, and competitions - Leadership qualities to inspire athletes and foster teamwork Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The Coach may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
