Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Head office. Data processing and computers. Tasks: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll. Prepare statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, union dues, garnishments and insurance and pension plans. Perform clerical duties, such as maintain filing systems. Perform human resources related duties such as personnel selection. Prepare and balance period-end reports and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements. Inform employees about payroll matters and benefit plans. Maintain payroll. Maintain records of employee attendance, leave and overtime to calculate pay and benefit entitlements, using manual or computerized systems. Prepare T4 statements and other statements. Perform data entry. Ensure accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll and other summaries. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Access. MS Excel. MS Word. MS Windows. Eclipse. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Drug test. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Personal suitability: Accurate.
