Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Metal product fabrication industry. Platework manufacturing company. Sheet metal shop. Structural steel fabrication company. Transportation equipment industry. Tasks: Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications. Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment. Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products. Lay out, set up and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines. Operate presses or other forging machines to perform hot or cold forging to shape or form metal. Position and adjust dies on anvil of forging machinery. Position heated or cooled metal pieces on die of press or other forging machinery. Equipment and machinery experience: Brakes. Overhead crane. Punch presses. Shears. Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Metal forming or shaping operations experience: Bending. Cutting machine. Forming. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Repetitive tasks. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Personal suitability: Organized. Team player. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
