Job details
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: At heights. Dusty. Noisy. Outdoors. Work setting: Urban area. Various locations. Tasks: Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints. Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster. Clean and prepare surfaces. Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife. Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required. Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency. Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim. Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry. Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings. Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound. Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces. Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied. Prepare wall and ceiling layouts. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Plasterer Trade Certification. Screening questions: Are you available for the advertised start date?.
