*Job Summary: *
XCMG Canada Ltd. is currently seeking an energetic self starter individual to join a growing and dynamic team as Parts Technician located in Hamilton, Ontario for our earth-moving, material handling and mobile elevating platform equipment lines. This position is responsible for assisting dealers and distributors in locating required parts, providing pricing, completing online and offline parts orders and warehouse/inventory duties.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*
*?* The accurate and timely picking of merchandise for delivery.
? Verifying parts orders to ensure they are correct before shipment.
? Maintain inventories online and update locations as needed.
? Re-stocking shelves and moving parts; ability to frequently lift 30-50 lbs.
? Assisting with other store operational functions as outlined by Parts Manager.
? Adhere to and promote all safety guidelines, including the handling of hazardous materials.
? Perform parts counter sales.
? Source and order required parts from OEM and track deliveries.
? Prepare Purchase orders for parts and process once parts received.
? Assist in Shipping/Receiving if required.
? Participate in annual parts inventory, clean-up, and preparation work.
? Occasionally fill in as parts-runner to pick up/offload parts in town
? Determine method of shipment and prepare bills, invoices, and other shipping documents.
? Answer emails and telephone calls as well as in-person requests for products and orders.
? Assemble containers and crates, pack goods to be shipped, and prepare identifying information and shipping instructions.
? Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks, etc.
? Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods.
? Unpack and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
? Maintain internal record-keeping systems.
? May operate forklift or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.
* Overall responsibility for warehouse and inventory
*Education and Experience Requirements*
· 3 Year Heavy Equipment Parts experience.
· Journeyman parts technician or 2nd / 3rd Year apprentice.
· Forklift experience.
· Valid Class G Driver?s license.
· Mechanically inclined.
· Strong ability to work independently and problem solving.
*Skill/Competency Requirements*
· Mechanical and technical aptitude are considered an asset for this position.
· Exceptional interpersonal management skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, performing consistent, high-quality and detailed work.
· Strong organisational and time management skills.
· Diligently practice Safe Working Habits.
· An understanding of basic inventory, purchase order and invoicing systems.
· Strong computer skills
· Successful candidate must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check.
*Physical Requirements*
· Must be currently eligible to work in Canada.
· Ability to frequently lift 30-50 lbs.
· Flexibility to work daytime and on occasional weekends.
