The passion and experience of our team shine through in every visit.The OpportunityWe are looking for a full-time dental receptionist to become part of our passionate and motivated team. As a member of our team, this role would coordinate and organize appointments, facilitate the administration of the front-office, and participate in efforts to achieve the overarching strategic goals of the organization. This individual will be accountable for providing effective management of greeting and scheduling our clients. They play a critical role in the success of the organization by being the face of the organization on the phone and as individuals walk through the door.ResponsibilitiesKey areas of focus include, but are not limited to, the following:GreeterGreet patients in person and via the telephoneRegister new patientsManage the patient database (contact information, insurance, etc.), working with patients to ensure it stays up to date; maintain compliance with privacy and security regulationsDelivery and check off patients at each operatoriesEnsuring the presentation of the front office / waiting area is professionalReceiving / Making CallsAnswer and manage incoming callsScheduling appointmentsResponding to inquiriesConfirming upcoming appointments and recallsFill in cancellations and no-show appointmentsDaily / Weekly PreparationPull and organize upcoming charts for upcoming weekArrange patient charts for next dayAdministrationComplete referrals to other dental officesManage and monitor deliveries of lab casesCollect and receipt payments at time of treatment, managing insurance coveragePrepare and mail billing statements, claim forms for dental insurance, and patient statementsSort and distribute incoming and outgoing mailMonitor and maintain inventory of dental office front end suppliesManage account receivable and payable insurance cheques complete with data entrySkill RequirementsPostsecondary Education or equivalent years of relevant experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong literacy and numeracy skills and basic accounting experienceAbility to build and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholdersStrong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlinesAbility to step in and support the team as requiredHigh professional and ethical standards for handling confidential informationStrong collaboration skills and the ability to be proactive and demonstrate initiativeFamiliarity with MS Office and various business softwareThrive in a constantly changing, fast-paced and deadline-driven environmentDemonstrate a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgencyExperience in the dental industry, having working knowledge of dental insurance procedures would be considered an assetApply TodayWe offer a good working environment and competitive salary, based on your qualifications and experience.
