Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Tasks: Interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation. Service equipment. Supervise the building and testing of prototypes. Test power equipment and systems . Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments. Collect and compile operational or experimental data. Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems. Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports. Supervision: Electronics assemblers, fabricators, inspectors and testers. Computer and technology knowledge: Networking hardware. Internet. Communication software. Programming software. Equipment, eystems and controls experience: Telecommunication system. Radar equipment and systems. Electronic testing equipment and systems.
