MD Financial Management, a division of Scotia Wealth Management, has an exciting opportunity for a talented, enthusiastic, and client-focused Client Reporting Specialist to join our team. Is this role right for you? In this role you will: Execute Canadian and/or IRS tax production activities accurately and within regulatory deadlines Identify, document, and support resolution of system defects and process gaps Collaborate with internal and external composition and printing partners as it related to tax activities Develop and maintain related procedure and work instruction documents, and regularly review and update as required Establish processes and procedures that facilitate continuous process improvement on all tax production processes, and ensure operational efficiency of the production processes Support project initiatives and audits as it relates to tax Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? ? We'd love to work with you if you have: Experience in tax reporting in a financial services environment Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel College or University degree related to Commerce is an asset Tax related courses, certifications, or completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is an asset Working knowledge of SPM/Confluence software is an asset Critical thinking skills and are enthusiastic about delivering quality service Strong reconciliation and analytical skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated pro-activity, initiative, and resourcefulness The ability to work independently or effectively within a team The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast- paced environment The ability to effectively manage change A results-oriented mindset The capacity to assess, develop and monitor complex business processesLocation(s): Canada : Ontario : Ottawa Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
