REPORTS TO: Controller and Associate Director, Human Resources<p>POSITION GROUP: Support Staff<p>STATUS: 8 Weeks, 30 Hours/Week, Temporary Position<p>Calgary French & International School (CFIS) is a full French language immersion co-educational independent school, serving nearly 780 students from junior preschool through to Grade 12. Our students benefit from innovative teaching and learning approaches to address global challenges, and are empowered to take responsibility as open-minded, curious citizens who are prepared for the ever-changing world around them.The Administrative Assistant Intern will be an energetic and organized individual who will provide CFIS' Finance and Human Resources teams with administrative and office support during the summer of 2024. The start date of the position is June 10, 2024.Areas of Responsibility <p> Data entry of financial and employee information.<p> Basic financial analysis.<p> Provide reception coverage for the main office.<p> Filing of physical and electronic documents.<p> Assisting with summer projects.<p> Other administrative duties as requested. <p>Qualifications Education: <p>The successful candidate must presently be enrolled at an accredited institution in one of the following areas of study: Office Administration, Bookkeeping, Accounting Basics, Administrative Assistant, Human Resources, or Payroll. <p>Experience: <p> Administrative Assistant experience preferred, but not required.<p> A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), Gmail and Google Calendar is required.<p> HRIS or Sage 300 experience preferred. <p>Knowledge and Skills: <p> Bilingual in French and English.<p> Excellent interpersonal skills.<p> Proven ability to demonstrate discretion and maintain confidentiality.<p> Strong oral and written communication skills in English.<p> Team player with the ability to work with all levels of management and staff.<p> Exceptional attention to detail.<p> Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.<p> Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.<p> Committed to a culture of continuous innovation and learning.
