Secretarial Clerk <p>(10 Month CONTINUING) <p> The Greater Victoria School District #61 is looking to hire a Secretarial Clerk . This is a continuing position working 30 hours per week in the Indigenous Education Department.<p>The Greater Victoria School District provides public educational services to over 20,000 students in the Greater Victoria area, encompassing six municipalities. To provide this service, the District has a current operating budget of $210 million and employs approximately 3,500 staff which includes teachers, principals and vice-principals, support staff, psychologists, speech and language pathologists and exempt managerial staff.<p>The Secretarial Clerk provides a variety of clerical support services to the Indigenous Education Department from Early Years to Grade 12 along with providing support for IED Operational Meetings.<p>Education and Experience: Grade 12 or equivalent<p> Completion of some office administration courses<p> Over 6 months recent office experience<p> Knowledge of office procedures<p> Knowledge of database management, word processing, spreadsheet and email applications<p> Must demonstrate competency by passing a related District testThis position falls within the CUPE 947 Collective Agreement at a pay rate of $26.38 per hour plus a comprehensive benefits plan after completion of probation.
