*POSITION SUMMARY*
As a Payroll Clerk, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance Dept in various administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth functioning of HR operations. You will be responsible for keeping up to date and completing employee records and recruitment initiatives. You will have the opportunity to sit in on interviews, conduct reference checks and so much more.
*Job Requirements*
Meet eligibility criteria established by the Canada Summer Jobs Program;
· Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period
· Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to who refugee protection has been conferred under _the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act_ for the duration of the employment; and;
· Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with the relevant provincial legislation and regulation.
*Position Responsibilities*
· Perform a wide variety of administrative tasks.
· Payroll basics
· Enter accounts payable
· Create and maintain spreadsheets
· Filing and conduct file audit
· Reconcile Visas
· Coverage for reception
· Archiving old finance files
*Additional Qualifications*
· Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a Post Secondary Business, Accounting or related program
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word
*Skills and Attributes*
· Takes initiative.
· Motivated and driven.
· Possess a professional and warm demeanor, with a track record of managing sensitive situations tactfully and diplomatically.
· Excellent oral and written communications skills to effectively interact with team members and any external parties.
· Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
· Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
· Proficient organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
· Ability to solve problems.

Schedule:
· 6-hour shift
· Day shift
· Monday to Friday

· Must be willing to work a flexible 30-hour work week.
