Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Install refrigeration systems. Install ventilation, air handling and air conditioning systems. Troubleshoot ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components. Perform maintenance such as, recharging system with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators or calibrating system. Handle, recover and store refrigerants. Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation or heat pump systems. Order supplies and maintain inventory. Maintain work records and logs. Ensure infection control. Prepare reports. Troubleshoot problems related to equipment. Prepare and track work orders. Types of systems: Plumbing, cold water and drain lines. Control systems: Computerized monitoring. Air conditioning and refrigeration systems: Air motioning and circulation. Ventilation. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Initiative. Judgement. Efficient interpersonal skills. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
