Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Instruct apprentices. Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt. Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction. Level earth to fine grade specifications. Clean and pile salvaged materials. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Direct traffic at or near construction sites. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Personal protective equipment (PPE) training. Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate. Confined Space Entry Training. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Driver's License (Class 3 or D). Fall Arrest Protection Training Course. Equipment and machinery experience: Concrete saws. Jackhammers. Compactor. Sledgehammer. Hand tools. Construction specialization: Industrial, commercial and institutional. Water mains.
