Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Nursing home/home for the aged. Tasks: Assist in the establishment of unit policies and procedures. Assist in the selection, evaluation and professional development of personnel. Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher. Supervise patients' exercise routines. Serve meal trays and feed patients. Make beds and maintain patients' rooms. Maintain inventory of supplies. Bathe, dress and groom patients. Supply and empty bed pans. Weigh, lift, turn and position patients. Deliver messages, reports, requisitions and specimens between departments. Perform other duties related to personal care. Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort. Assist with maintenance and repair of medical equipment. Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up and assembling of medical equipment. Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Health Care Aide Certificate. Nursing Aide Certificate. Area of specialization: Geriatrics.
