Positions: Clinical Coordinator<p>Location: Division Office - Winnipeg <p>Start Date: September 3, 2024<p>FTE: 1.00 FTE <p>Term of Employment: Permanent<p>Application Deadline: Open Until FilledThe Division provides a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, transportation and moving expense reimbursement, subsidized housing or housing allowance and isolation allowance in qualifying communities, annual travel reimbursement, reimbursement for approved courses and more!<p>Reporting to the Assistant Superintendent, Student Services and Wellness, the Clinical Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Student Services Coordinator, Jordans Principal Wellness Coordinator, the Divisions School Psychologists, Area Student Services and Wellness teams, parents/guardians, clinicians and outside agencies. This Division-wide role leads the development and implementation to provide a comprehensive range of psychological services to Nursery to Grade 12 students including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, consultation and recommendations. QUALIFICATIONS Masters Degree in School Psychology with appropriate supervised clinical experience <p> Valid Manitoba School Psychologist Certificate<p> Successful completion of formal training in psycho-educational assessments<p> Strong written and verbal communication skills, effective organizational and computer skills; and the ability to meet multiple deadlines<p> Strong clinical skills and a broad knowledge base in child and adolescent development, cognitive processes, mental health, school and community systems, learning, and behaviour disorders<p> Strong leadership skills including the ability to work collaboratively and plan and implement department and division-wide initiatives<p> Experience working with students who have a broad range of exceptional needs<p> Commitment to working with Indigenous and First Nation communities and using culturally affirming and culturally safe practices <p> Training in Threat Assessment (VTRA), ASIST, Trauma-Informed Practices, and knowledge of Cultural Safety is an asset<p> Strong understandings of MEECL documents; Standards for Appropriate Educational Programming in Manitoba Schools, Supporting Inclusion: Modification and Individualized Programming in Manitoba Schools and Mamahtawisiwin: The Wonder We Are Born With <p> Valid Manitoba Drivers license <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <p>The successful candidate will provide a broad range of school based psychological services including but not limited to: Works collaboratively with Area School Psychologists to conduct and interpret psychoeducational assessments of students<p> Leads the planning, processes, procedures, and implementation of the School Psychology role for Frontier School Division including recruitment, training and professional development<p> Participates in Division and Area Student Services and Wellness Team <p> Prepares and submits written reports in accordance with Division timelines including data collection<p> Liaises with outside agencies to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to student planning and intervention<p> Experience with developing partnerships with outside agencies and grant-writing is an asset<p> Provides support to school communities related to threat assessment (VTRA), crisis response and trauma-informed care<p> Maintains confidentiality in accordance with professional guidelines<p> Adheres to Frontier School Division policies and procedures <p> Other duties as assigned<p> Applicants are required
