Continuing Education - Youth Urban Farming Program Teacher (Summer 2024) <p>LOCATION : Westwood Public School @ 495 Willow Road, Westwood Road Community Garden, and Castlebury Park, Guelph<p>RATE: $55.14 per hour<p>HOURS : July 3rd 26th, 2024, 8:30 am 2:45 p.m. @ above sites<p>FEDERATION AFFILIATION: While performing this position, you are a member of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation representing the District 18 Teachers Bargaining Unit. Union dues will apply.<p>JOB SUMMARY:<p>The successful applicant will work with the Summer School Supervisor and community partners to deliver a full credit to students enrolled in the Youth Urban Farming Program.<p>REQUIREMENTS: Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Certificate in Good Standing<p> Preference for applicants with Senior Business or Senior Green Industries teaching qualifications<p> Basic knowledge of agriculture<p> Ability to manage students in an alternative learning setting<p> Ability to work in a farm environment<p> Willingness to work with community partners to deliver the Youth Urban Farming ProgramHOW TO APPLY: <p>Upper Grand DSB Continuing Education is posting summer school teaching positions in the following areas: eLearning Summer School, Regular (In-person) Summer School, Gr. 8 Reach-Ahead Program (In-person and eLearning), and the Youth Urban Farming Program.
