Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Cafeteria. School or educational institution/establishment. Tasks: Estimate amount and costs of supplies and food items. Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory. Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets. Estimate food requirements and food and labour costs. Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards. Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food. Supervision: 5-10 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Food Safety Certificate. Area of work experience: Manager. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Initiative. Organized. Reliability. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Experience: Experience an asset.
