We are looking for a *Intermediate* *Hydrogeologist* to support our Environmental division, based out of Calgary, AB or surrounding areas.
*WHAT YOUR DAYS WILL CONSIST OF: *
* Create Scopes of Work and Cost Estimates, in accordance to project requirements to ensure the project can move towards successful risk-based assessment goals.
* Review and interpret pertinent historical reports and site-specific background data to develop comprehensive project overviews and assist in risk receptor analysis and development of Conceptual Site Models.
* Evaluate applicable project goals and identify data gaps that need to be filled in order to reach goal.
* Review and interpret laboratory analytical results to determine appropriate strategies to progress sites towards regulatory closure.
* Preparation of Phase 2 ESA, remediation reports, soil and groundwater reports to support EPEA-approved facilities and regulatory variance letter requests.
* Complete hydrogeological calculations and geological cross-sections and prepare hydrogeological and contaminant hydrogeology reports.
* Submit draft technical report to Technical Advisor for review. Update all report edits identified by technical reviewer in a timely and efficient manner.
* Conduct complex field work related to contaminant and/or physical (i.e., slug and pump tests) hydrogeology.
* Analyze slug and pump test data using software.
* As required, provide training to all staff in regard to contaminant and physical hydrogeology.
* Interact with clients as needed.
* Promote teamwork and effective and respectful collaboration.
* Remain current with environmental legislation and regulatory updates.
* Provide input to the existing quality control program, including but not limited to field data collection, data interpretation, data presentation, project deliverables, and project management.
*ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *
* Acting as a technical resource for groundwater flow, groundwater quality, and contaminant distribution
* Providing field level support for subsurface soil investigation, groundwater monitoring well installation and development, and groundwater well decommissioning
* Extrapolating and presenting groundwater quality data in an accurate, concise, and accessible manner
* Supporting complex groundwater assessment and remediation projects and site-specific risk assessments
* Mentoring and career development of hydrogeology project staff
* Providing senior review and professional signoff of hydrogeological data sets and reports
* Participating in the Ridgeline Response Technical Resource Committee as requested
* Provide opportunities for mentorship, training and development of Environmental Consultants and Project Managers.
* Takes a mentoring role for addressing deficiencies and helps identify performance trends in reporting and field work.
* Attend technical seminars, conferences and industry events as a representative of Rigeline.
* Any other technical duties as assigned by supervisor and/or managers
