Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Fire prevention and safety technology/technician. Tasks: Maintain firefighting equipment. Provide fire prevention education programs. Inspect existing buildings for structural defects and fire hazards. Enforce environmental, fire safety and accident prevention regulation. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Firefighter Certificate Level I and II. Experience: Experience an asset. Support for newcomers and refugees: Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition. Support for youths: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youths. Support for Veterans: Supports Veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market . Support for Indigenous people: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers .
